Councils and Committees

Based on the University Act, the University establishes the following councils and committees in relation to

instruction, research and services.

President

To deliberate on the following matters:

1.    developmental planning and budgeting;

2.    the organizational charter and important rules and regulations;

3.    establishment, amendment registration, and suspension of operations of colleges, departments, graduate institutes, and other organizations;

4.    academic affairs, student affairs, general affairs, research and other internal university affairs of major importance;

5.    the means of instructional evaluation;

6.    resolutions adopted by committees or task forces establishes by the University Council; and

7.    matters relating to proposals by the University Council or the President.

To deliberate on the policies of general education and to design the curriculum of general education.

To deliberate on the editing and reviewing of publication, the plan for series of books and rewards for publication.

To deliberate on the policies and development of the Computer and Network Center.

Sustainable Campus Planning and Operation Committee

Vice President of General Affairs

To deliberate on the space allocation of the buildings in the University and the development and the environmental landscape design of the campus.

Faculty Housing Allocation Committee

Vice President of General Affairs

To deliberate on the allocation and management of the accommodation for faculty members and staff.

Environment Protection and Occupational Safety and Health Committee

To consider, negotiate and suggest issues relevant to environment protection and occupational safety and health in the University

Honorary Doctoral Degree Evaluation Committee

To screen and review individuals with special contributions in academic, cultural or professional fields and relevant issues of conferring honorary doctorate degree.

To collect data associated with honors in the University and to recommend faculty and students to apply for all kinds of honors and awards.

Outstanding Alumni Award Nomination Committee

To screen and review the nominees for the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award.

To deliberate on screening and promotion of staff.

Faculty Appeals Resolution Committee

Elected by committee members.

To deliberate on resolving faculty appeals arising out of opposition to a University’s measure which is regarded illegal or inappropriate, and which will cause harm to faculty rights and interests.

To deliberate on resolving students', student unions' or other student self-governing bodies appeals arising out of opposition to a University's measure or punishment, which is regarded illegal or inappropriate, and which will cause harm to student rights and interests.

To promote education of gender equality and to create an educational environment of gender equality and harmony.

To plan annual traffic safety education projects and annual working items.

To deliberate on the vehicle management and the management regulations of motorcycles and vehicles.

Supervisory Committee for Custodian Pension

To deliberate and monitor the defined contribution of the custodian pension, the amount, savings and expenditures and related issues of the defined contribution pension.
